Forging the Future with Made in USA Challenge Coins

As the University of Central Florida prepared for the AIAA SciTech 2026 Forum in Orlando, the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering needed a way to recognize student achievement and participation while ensuring the coins would be ready in hand before the event began.

To meet that deadline, UCF partnered with Signature Coins to produce Made in USA custom challenge coins, ensuring faster turnaround without sacrificing quality or design.

The front of the coin proudly features UCF’s Pegasus emblem, framed by University of Central Florida and SciTech 2026. Finished in antique gold metal with black simulated enamel, the design feels professional, polished, and worthy of the academic milestone it represents.

A reeded edge adds texture and weight, reinforcing the coin’s premium feel and making it a keepsake students and faculty will hold onto long after the event.

Recognizing Student Achievement at AIAA SciTech

The reverse side highlights the department’s identity and mission. America’s Space University takes center stage, surrounded by the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the message Forge the Future. The design directly reflects the role students played at SciTech 2026, attending presentations, networking with industry leaders, and presenting research on a national stage.

These coins served as a tangible way to recognize students who represented UCF and Astra Lab during one of the most important aerospace and engineering conferences of the year.
